After faux finishing, part-time for a few years . . .
In 1999, Angela Pomone Roberts launched her business, Pomone Studios, in Nashville, Tennessee, immediately following classes at the Faux Finish School in Louisville. Angela completed both the Art and Business of Faux Finishing and the Advanced Class, Designer Wall Finishes.
had the opportunity not only to study with Martin Alan Hirsch, but
also work directly under him on three important projects including
Reba McEntires Starstruck Studios and Papa Johns
World Headquarters in Louisville. She believes this experience
positioned her for important commercial jobs. When Ambiance Salon
re-located to Music Row, Angela was asked to consult on the renovation
before the lease was signed. The salon features five different textured
finishes, including a 5 layered peeled paint finish and incredible
bronze and copper metal doors. This project was
felt confident hiring Martins students for such an important
job, as I knew they would be well-trained and professional. I used
eleven different graduates of the Faux Finish School to complete this
very successful project. It was a wonderful collaboration, and the
